Who is responsible for your data

PearlyScan is operated by Adscharter Advertising Service, a business registered in Singapore (UEN 53462323M), adscharter.com. That business is the data controller for anything described below, and is reachable at support@pearlyscan.com.

Your photo

Your photo is resized in your own browser, sent over an encrypted connection to our server, and passed to Anthropic's Claude AI to produce your shade estimate. We do not store it. It exists only in memory for the few seconds the analysis takes, and is discarded as soon as your result is returned. We have no database of user photos, no image backups, and no way to retrieve a photo after your scan.

We do not use your photo to train any AI model, and we never attempt to identify who is in it.

Your scan result

Your score, shade name, and report are held in your own browser (sessionStorage) so the page can show them to you. They are not stored on our servers and are not linked to your identity. Closing the tab or clearing your browser data removes them permanently.

If you buy the Full Report, your photo is also held in your browser's session storage for the few minutes between your scan and your return from checkout. This is what lets us produce your detailed report after payment without us ever storing your photo. It is sent once more for that analysis, then discarded on our side exactly as before, and cleared from your browser when you close the tab or scan again.

Payments

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. Stripe processes your payment details under its own privacy policy, and provides us with the payment status, the amount, and the email address you enter at checkout so we can support and refund your purchase.

Analytics

If advertising analytics are enabled on the site, we may use the TikTok pixel to count anonymous events — a page view, a completed scan, a completed purchase — to understand whether our marketing works. These events do not include your photo or your report. You can block them with any standard tracker-blocking browser or extension.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page) for security and abuse prevention. We use IP addresses only to apply rate limits so nobody can overload the service.

What we never do

• Sell or rent your personal information.
• Store your photo after the scan completes.
• Require an account, a password, or your real name.
• Send marketing email (we don't run a mailing list).

Your rights

Because we don't keep photos or accounts, there is usually nothing held about you to access or erase. If you've made a purchase and want the payment record associated with your email deleted, email us and we'll action it, subject to the financial records we're legally required to retain.

Children

PearlyScan is not intended for children under 13, and we ask that you do not upload photos of children.
